Without an account

Searching and downloading needs no account. Your IP address is hashed with a secret and kept for up to 30 days to count downloads once a day per person, to rate limit, and to catch abuse; the address itself is not stored. Cookies hold your chosen languages and theme.

Counting visits

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people reach, so we know what to build next. It sets its own cookies and tells Google your address, which Google shortens before storing. We do not send it your email, your username, or anything you type. If you would rather not be counted, any content blocker or the "do not track" setting in your browser stops it, and nothing on the site stops working. There is no advertising on the site at present; if that changes, this page changes first.

With an account

Kept: your email, your username, a password hash, your preferred languages, your bio if you write one, and the metadata of what you upload (release names, flags, credits). The site never sees your password. Emails are used for password resets and for notifications you turn on, nothing else.

Video files

"Match my video file" reads a fingerprint of the video in your browser. The video never leaves your computer; only the fingerprint (a short number) and the file name are sent.

Deleting your account

Ask from your panel or through contact. Your account details are deleted. Your contributions stay, credited to the translator named on them, because a credit is a fact about the file; or you can remove your own files first.

Your rights

You may ask what is kept about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, through contact. Requests are answered within 30 days.
