‘Shutter Island” Explains
In 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels went to Ashcliffe Hospital on Shutter Island in Boston Harbor. With his partner Chuck. This partner of his is newly known. The hospital treats all mentally ill and dangerous criminals who are mentally sick but can prove to be harmful at times.
Patient number 67 of that hospital is absconding. This is their journey to find him. Also, Teddy’s other objective is to find his wife’s killer, who is admitted to the hospital. The killer’s name is Andrew Leddis. The hospital has no connection to the outside world, as it is located on the island.
There is no way to escape. Ships go to the island, which is also controlled by the island. Escaping from the island is almost impossible. Teddy starts his investigation. But there is no match!! He can’t quite understand. He fell ill frequently, suffering from headaches.
Gradually he realizes that a great conspiracy is going on with him. He did not come of his own accord to catch the murderer of his wife but as if he had been brought there by the plan. He began to lose faith in the hospital authorities
He started to think that there was no one to help. You have to save your own life! At one point, he loses faith in his existence, identity, and partner.

Shutter Island is a psychiatric hospital located on an island off the coast of Massachusetts. The hospital is home to some of the country’s most dangerous and disturbed patients. The main character, Teddy Daniels, is a U.S. Marshal who has been sent to the island to investigate the disappearance of a patient.
Teddy soon realizes that the hospital is not what it seems and that the patients are not the only ones who are dangerous. Teddy was searching for patient number 67, where there were 66 patients left; Teddy got the idea of the 67 number patient from a note from a patient’s room, “The Law of 4, Who is 67?”

Teddy was patient number 67, he has a dream world where his wife is alive, and they don’t have any children. But Teddy murdered his wife for killing his three children. Doctors were trying to help and recover; his assistant Chuck was his doctor. They were planning to help Teddy figure out who he was and why he was in there.
At the movie’s end, Teddy is completely well, but he pretends he is not! Because he wanted his brain surgery, he wanted to forget his past life; as he said to his doctor, “Which Would Be Worse: To Live As A Monster, Or To Die As A Good Man?”
